Q NOTES privacy policy

This policy explains how the Q NOTES app (formerly QNote) handles your data. The app is developed by Qasim Mohammed. It is offline-first, with an optional account for backup. Your data lives on your device by default.
Data stored on your device
Everything you create in the app — notes, mind maps, tasks, finance records and vault items — is stored locally on your device. We have no access to it. Vault data is additionally encrypted with AES-GCM and protected by a PIN.
Optional account and backup
If you sign in, the app can back up your data to your own Google Drive only, using the limited drive.file scope. If you do not sign in, the app works fully offline.
What we do not do
- No analytics or tracking tools.
- No advertisements.
- We never sell or share your data with third parties.

Deleting your data
Delete all local data from More → Clear all data, or delete the backup files from your own Google Drive directly.
